Pediatric Asthma
Lung Cancer Screening
This is an example causal loop map that examines pediatric asthma. There are individual factors (like trash barrel use), but by continuing to ask why, the creator also acknowledges systems level contributing factors (like trash pickup reliability). See below for a video of how this map came together.
This is a sample causal loop map examining lung cancer screening uptake. There are many contributing factors , some of which are individual (fear), or interpersonal (provider-patient communication). Importantly, there are systems factors as well (cost, access to transportation), which may give the creators new ideas for partners and content areas to explore.
Fatherhood Engagement
This is an example of a causal loop map that does not start with a health outcome, but a matter of engagement. This map explores some personal factors (awareness), but also systems level factors (funding availability) that ask whether existing structures are able to meet the needs of individuals.
